Originally from Denmark, Jonas Fromseier is a wonderfully talented musician on banjo bouzouki and guitar. He first took up the banjo in his teens. Born on a small island, he would travel to the mainland every month to go the nearest session in Copenhagen and learn tunes from the local players, both Irish and Danish. At twenty-one Jonas moved to Ireland to play music full-time and spent 7 years there, meeting and playing with numerous legends in Irish music, and taking up bouzouki and guitar.

He joined Arcady 3, formed the band Mórga, and has toured extensively in Europe and the US in different constellations. Most recently Jonas recorded a duo album with David Munnelly, and featured on John and James Carty’s latest release “The Wavy Bow Collection” as well as performing with Eimear McGeown and James Carty.
