Mel. Bonis Sonate for Piano and Cello
Leokadiya Kashperova Sonata in G major for cello and piano Op 1 No 1

A recital of romantic sonatas performed by cellist Annette Cleary and pianist Reamonn Keary, both well known Irish performers.

The works are the sonatas by composers Mel. Bonis and Leokadiya Kashperova, two female composers who lives were dramatically shaped by their romantic liaisons, the first in conservative bourgeois Paris, the second while escaping the tyranny of the Bolshevik revolution.

Annette Cleary studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the USA and was a prizewinner at the Barchet International cello competition. She has toured extensively throughout Europe and Asia.

Reamonn Keary was educated the Trinity College Dublin and Vienna and teaches at the RIAM.

Presented by Annette Cleary
