Friday, 4 March 2022, 7.30pm

Niamh Regan is a critically acclaimed songwriter from county Galway. Released in the midst of the pandemic in 2020, her debut album Hemet announced her arrival as one of the most distinctive songwriters in Ireland today. Earning nominations for both the RTE Folk Awards’ and the Choice Awards’ Album of the Year, the album received soaring praise, and led to performances on Fanning at Whelan’s, The Late Late Show, Other Voices, and La Blogothèque.

“A game-changing record” – The Journal of Music
“A quiet and determined triumph” – The Irish Times
“One of the best albums released this year… sublime” – Nialler9
“A heartfelt, timeless, and captivating release” – Folk Radio UK

A natural storyteller, Regan’s songs are windows into her world, snapshots of the intimacy of everyday life. This is evident on her new EP, In the Meantime, due out in March. With her singular mastery, Regan's songwriting draws us into the intricate details of everyday life and elevates them into something universal.

“Creating the EP was a little bit of magic for me and also felt like an escape. I’m so grateful to have had some stellar musicians bring it alive in the studio and to work alongside producer Alex Borwick again. All thanks to the Elevate Bursary and the International Galway Arts Festival.”

Ahead of the EP release, Niamh will release a new single ‘Winter in Eden’, featuring Northern Irish singer-songwriter Ciaran Lavery. Pre-save the single here: https://found.ee/niamhreganciaranlavery_winterineden
