The Luminosa String Orchestra - ARCADIA I

The Luminosa String Orchestra - ARCADIA I

Thursday, 26 March 2020, 8.00pm

Arcadia is the mythological Greek embodiment of an idyllic pastoral place, in harmony with nature and where all the best things in life are...and yet even there, death can be found. The Luminosa String Orchestra will explore life and death, dark and light, time and tide in this exceptionally beautiful selection of music which evokes three key points in the year, the spring equinox, the summer solstice and the autumn equinox. We have curated a range of music, evocative of these landmarks in the year, starting with ARCADIA I - Featuring Janáček, Benjamin Britten, John F. Larchet and Mozart. A not to be missed musical event, by Galway's first professional string orchestra. Tickets €20 / €15 from Eventbrite or on the door. Early booking is advisable.
