John Lynch Chamber Music Project

Wednesday, 10 April 2019, 7.30pm

Now in its 4th year, the John Lynch Chamber Music Project is a series of concerts in which members of the National Symphony Orchestra and RTE Concert Orchestra remember their colleague through the enjoyment of playing chamber music together.

The second concert in the series, on Wednesday 10th April, sees pianist Owen Lorigan join the orchestra members in three unique and dynamic works that range from the quirky jazz-influenced rhythms of Bohuslav Martinů to the lush romanticism of Eric Korngold and Théodore Dubois.

Martinu: Quartet for oboe, violin, cello and piano
Dubois: Piano Quintet in F for piano, oboe, violin, viola and cello
Korngold: Piano Quintet Op 15

Owen Lorigan piano
Claudie Driesen violin
Paul Fanning violin
David Kenny viola
Katie Tertell cello
Niall O’Loughlin cello
Suzie Thorn oboe

Supported by the NCH and RTÉ
