La Dirindina
Banned in 1715. Just as scandalous in 2019.
La Dirindina is headed for a stellar career on the opera stage. At least that is what he has been told, and who wouldn't trust a lecherous singing teacher and an overly ambitious colleague with dubious motivations? Join us for La Dirindina's adventurous journey to La Scala (sort of) with a scandalous libretto by Girolamo Gigli, set to music by 18th-century composers Domenico Scarlatti and Giovanni Battista Martini.
Performed by the NI Opera Studio and an instrumental ensemble.
