Kodály Ireland Online Summer Course 2021 (9th - 11th July)

Friday, 9 July 2021, 9.00am

Kodály Ireland is delighted to announce that our annual Summer Course will be taking place online through Zoom over the weekend of 9th-11th July 2021.
Led by renowned Hungarian and Irish tutors, the emphasis is on active, experience-based learning. In line with Kodály's teachings, singing is at the heart of the course. Class levels are graded and therefore all levels of musical experience (from basic to advanced) are welcome.

Our solfége teaching staff - demonstrating a wealth of experience and innovation - includes Dr. László Nemes, Dr. Árpád Toth, Esther Hargittai, and Dr. Bernie Sherlock.

For specialist workshops we are also very excited to welcome Dr. Róisín Blunnie (Ireland), Lucinda Geoghegan (Scotland), Lynsey Callaghan (Ireland), Géza Szilvay (Finland/Hungary), and Morgane Delafforest (France).

We are also delighted to further accommodate instrumentalists and instrumental teachers this year. For a wonderful opportunity to develop musicianship and incorporate Kodály methodology in instrumental teaching, Géza Szilvay (the founder of ColourStrings) as well as Morgane Delafforest (a pioneer of Kodály instrumental tuition in France) will both be giving us lots of ideas and tools in their specialist workshops.

This year's course will be more compact at two and a half days long from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th July.

This will be a summer course like no other, and is sure to be a thoroughly invigorating and enjoyable musical weekend!
