Join Gearóid Grant for his final ever concert series with NYOI!

After 42 years of dedication, commitment and fun, the Maestro is hanging up his NYOI hat for a well-deserved retirement. Gearóid began conducting the orchestra in 1980 and generations of young musicians have learned from him and hold fond memories of courses, tours and concerts together. This concert is part of his Farewell tour and will be a celebration of his career and achievements.

After a break of 2.5 years, the National Youth Orchestra is back and stronger than ever, performing a full symphonic programme including works by Tchaikovsky, Sibelius and Anderson. NYOI soloists Claire O’Connor (Violin), Carl Roewer (Bassoon) and Leo Brychta (Trumpet) present concerto movements by Lalo, Mozart and Haydn. We hope you will join us on this momentous occasion!

Soloists from within the orchestra bring an exciting programme to life.

Let us help you celebrate the Summer with this exciting concert not to be missed!

NYOI is proud to be funded by the Arts Council.

Presented by The National Youth Orchestra of Ireland
