Prokofiev Symphony No. 1 Classical
Ravel Piano Concerto in G
Farrenc Symphony No.3

MANOJ KAMPS CONDUCTOR
STEVEN OSBORNE PIANO

Louise Farrenc’s work is unjustifiably neglected and you won’t regret getting to know this under-performed work.

Prokofiev unapologetically channels Mozart and Haydn in his Symphony No. 1, a work that is effervescent and elegant, bubbling along in a way that won’t fail to lift the spirits and put a smile on your face.

The joy continues with Ravel’s Piano Concerto – full of jazz influences throughout, the wonderful Steven Osborne will both have your feet tapping and soothe your soul with the concerto’s beautiful slow movement.

Farrenc’s Symphony No. 3 keeps the energy levels buoyant with a work that is full of character, colour and drama.
