Rhythms of the World: Workshop for family groups with children aged 4-12

Explore rhythms from around the world with percussionist Anthony McNamee. Using a range of instruments create an original soundscape with some body percussion thrown in. Over the course of the workshop participants will combine the rhythms they have learned to construct a dynamic piece of drumming music. Families will get groovy together. All instruments provided.

Anthony McNamee is a freelance drummer and music educator experienced in a wide range of musical styles and settings. He has worked with Dance Companies, Bands, Arts Festivals, Schools, Community Groups and disability groups. An experienced recording artist and live drummer, Anthony maintains a busy teaching schedule.

Rhythms of the World takes place on Saturday 26 October Cost is €7 per person or €20 for a family of four. Adults are encouraged to take part with their children.
