Soloists John O'Conor (piano) and Ailbhe McDonagh (cello) - former teacher and student! - join forces to celebrate the launch of their Beethoven Complete Cello Sonatas recording on the Steinway Label released in 2021. Programme includes Beethoven Sonatas Op. 5 No. 1 and Op. 69, 3 works by Gabriel Fauré, 3 works by Ailbhe McDonagh including a world premiere written for this tour in celebration of John's 75th birthday and finishing off with a dramatic Hungarian Rhapsody by Popper.
