Myles McCormack will perfom as part of Sound of Belfast, on 6 November at 5pm.

Song 1: The Garden
‘This comes across like a breakup song but it’s really about striving to maintain healthy relationships. Sometimes things need constant attention and other times they need to be left to their own devices and those scenarios are both natural and healthy. It is also a breakup song though, so maybe my theories are not the most sound!’

Song 2: To Better All Things
‘Something was annoying me at the time I wrote this song - I can’t remember exactly but it was something to do with the shambles the local executive made of reforming the 11+. I remember feeling so exasperated with the way that that had played out. The song isn’t about that specifically but instead takes a more general approach. It’s about how people all over the world share similar struggles and are riding the same waves of hope / despair, but there are always a lot of people trying to better all things!’
