STATION SESSIONS BRINGS THE JOY OF LIVE MUSIC TO YOUR HOMES THIS CHRISTMAS!

Top Irish Artists come together to raise money for Focus Ireland to help fight Homelessness by performing in unique settings
Covid-19 has decimated the live music industry, but this Christmas season to help fight homelessness, a number of top and up and coming Irish musicians have come together to perform in the unusual setting of Iarnród Éireann stations at night. The performances will be streamed digitally over three consecutive nights; 8th, 9th & 10th December on Focus Ireland’s social channels; YouTube and Facebook.

This is Iarnród Éireann’s 4th year to partner with Focus Ireland at Stations. Ordinarily, the company facilitates in station carol singing events to give customers the opportunity to donate, but due to the public health restrictions the campaign has changed, but the music theme for all to enjoy is still very much there. It is hoped that this new and innovative way of bringing music into people’s homes will encourage those that can to donate whatever they can afford.

8th December: 8pm, Heuston Station Session:
The series of concerts kicks off with performances featuring:
• Mary Coughlan
• RipTide Movement
• Eleanor McEvoy
• Brian Kennedy
• Mundy

9th December: 8pm, Kent Station Session:
The 2nd concert is at Kent Station, Cork where viewers will be treated to performances from:

• Mick Flannery
• Emma Langford
• Emer O’Flaherty

10th December: 8pm, Pearse Station Session
The setting of the final performance is Pearse Station and features performances from:

These concerts give music lovers a great opportunity to enjoy live music once again in their own homes while highlighting the importance of coming together, to donate much needed funds to help fight the issues of homelessness in Ireland. Iarnród Éireann and Focus Ireland are grateful to all the artists that gave their time and talents so generously for this project.
