Festival Productions - the team that brought you ‘Oliver!’, ‘Annie’, ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and ‘Bugsy Malone’ - returns with this all-singing, all-dancing production of the classic Julie Andrews film, winner of 5 Academy Awards and much loved by generations. This lavish production features a star-studded cast, spectacular costumes and sets, and the wonderful Festival chorus, dancers and orchestra.
Director Tony Finnegan is joined by a multi award winning production team to create this magical Christmas show. Lose your heart to the story of Maria, the young Austrian postulant who is sent to the home of a austere naval officer and widower, Captain Von Trapp to be governess to his 7 children. After bringing love and music into the lives of the family, they find a way to survive the loss of their homeland to the Nazis. The Sound of Music is brim-full of the songs you know and love; My Favourite Things, Do-Re-Mi, So Long, Farewell, Climb Every Mountain and Edelweiss.
This show is sure to sell out – don’t delay in booking.
