The music for this concert was written by American composers of the twentieth century. Each one occupied a different space in the musical scene in the USA and internationally. Leonard Berstein's most famous work is the musical West Side Story. Barber is often associated with one piece, his Adagio for Strings and it is one of the most recognisable pieces of twentieth century orchestral music. Schuman is the least known of the three but he produced a substantial body of work and was a prize winning arts administrator.

Tickets on the door: €20, conc. €15, students €5, all including a glass of wine or soft drink afterwards
