PGDE (Music) Programme Coordinator

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland are looking to appoint a highly experienced individual to coordinate the PGDE (Music) Programme who has deep understanding of the Scottish context of Teacher Education and who is active in education research

You will: oversee all aspects of coordination of the PGDE (Music) Programme, ensuring that the Programme remains compliant with RCS, QAA and General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) policies and standards. You will take overall responsibility for feedback and reporting mechanisms to ensure ongoing enhancement of the programme. Having oversight of the curriculum, you will ensure appropriate balance of content and assessment

You must have: a degree or an equivalent qualification in an appropriate and relevant subject; a secondary music teaching qualification; and be fully registered or eligible for full registration of the General Teaching Council for Scotland. You should have experience of programme design, coordination and management as well as experience of coordinating staff through excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills.
