Dickie Rock: Just for Old Times Sake

Dickie Rock: Just for Old Times Sake

Friday, 22 November 2019, 8.00pm

Dickie Rock is one of Ireland’s most loved and recognised singers and still attracts a huge following of fans from all around the world. He has been performing and packing out venues throughout Ireland and Europe for over fifty years and is still going as strong as ever! From 1963 to 1983, Dickie had 25 Irish hits, surpassed only by the Beatles, Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard, David Bowie and the Rolling Stones. During his time with the Miami Showband, Dickie attracted the kind of mass hysteria normally reserved for boybands like Westlife.

Star of Sunshine Radio, Paddy Cole is legendary in Irish show business, ever since he first came to prominence in the 1960s with the Capitol Showband. He still attracts many of the people who danced in those days to his shows today. Paddy is renowned for giving audiences a good time – whether it’s jazz, rock ‘n roll, sixties or swing – the result is always the same – a thrilled and ecstatic reaction.

Joining Dickie and Paddy will be very special guests Funny Friday’s Sil Fox with host and compere George Hunter.
