Rossini’s magnificent and extravagant final masterpiece WILLIAM TELL makes a triumphant return to Dublin after a gap of 145 years. Famous for the operas spectacular overture as the signature tune of The Lone Ranger TV series, is his most ambitious, forward-looking and vocally challenging opera ever written. It's a thrilling epic, and Irish National Opera's new production sees its 11 roles shared between 14 singers.

A freedom fighter in Austrian-occupied Switzerland. An oppressive Habsburg governor. The most famous Swiss apple. And a love story that crosses national divides.

Starring Brett Polegato, Jesús León, Konu Kim, Máire Flavin, Rachel Croash

William Tell, will be sung in the original French (with English surtitles), is INO's first co-production with Switzerland's Nouvel Opéra Fribourg.
