Lunchtime Concert—ChamberFest Dublin 2019
The Royal Irish Academy of Music is delighted to present the inaugural ChamberFest Dublin (Monday - Friday 13th December) helmed by RIAM Head of Strings and Chamber Music Sarah Sew.
The fortnight full of events—from public masterclasses to lunchtime and evening concerts in venues such as The Space Between, Lost Lane, the National Gallery, and the beautiful Georgian rooms of the Academy itself—will celebrate the sheer breadth and diversity of Chamber Music repertoire, with RIAM musicians performing a rich palette of works by composers from Bach to Beamish and everything in between.
This lunchtime concert will feature:
Haydn: String Quartet in D minor, op 42
Ernst: O bone Jesu
Puccini: Salve Regina
Goossens: Impromptu and Serenade from Suite Op. 6 for Flute, Violin and Harp
Naji Hakim: Rhapsody for Organ Four Hands
JS Bach: Bist du bei mir
Performers: Kevin Meehan (violin), Emma Byrne (violin), Lucy Varney (viola), Aoife Lyons (cello), Rachel Nolan (flute), Callum Jeacle (violin), Ruth O’Hara (harp), Melissa Caramante (soprano), Arthur Greene (organ) and Matthew Breen (organ)
