The The John Hewitt Society seeks a permanent, full time Director.

The John Hewitt Society is a major arts and culture organisation based in Northern Ireland. It provides opportunities for people from Northern Ireland and elsewhere to experience all types of culture from literature to the visual arts as well as political debate, and thereby to explore issues of difference and identity. A core principle of the Society is to work in partnership with other literary and non-literary organisations.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will join the Society at an important and stimulating time in its development and will therefore steer the organisation through its next phase of growth. They will be responsible for the Society’s operational and strategic management and for financial management and fundraising. Their duties will also take in oversight of policy, operational delivery of all projects, developmental work, and a range of engagement activities, including with stakeholders, sponsors and other arts organisations.

TO APPLY
The successful candidate will be selected on the basis of their application form and a 45-minute interview before a three-person panel.
