The Royal Academy of Music is a world-renowned conservatoire in London that provides high-quality training to musicians in classical, jazz, composition, and musical theatre.

Philanthropy plays a vital role in the Academy’s life and supports its mission to educate and develop tomorrow’s musical leaders. In April 2022, the Bicentenary Campaign was launched to raise £60m through philanthropic donations for scholarships, capital projects, endowed posts, and widening participation.

The Advancement team at the Academy is seeking an experienced Gift Administration Officer to provide efficient administrative support, including gift processing, financial administration, legacy administration, and financial reporting, using the fundraising database. This role is essential in supporting the Academy’s fundraising priorities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in processing gifts and donations in the charitable sector and an understanding of fundraising trends. Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge (NXT and classic view), MS Word, and Excel is required, and excellent written communication skills are essential. Experience working in a development team in the arts or higher education, especially during a fundraising campaign, would be advantageous. A commitment to the Academy’s mission is essential.

The deadline for completed applications is 23.59 on Friday 21st April 2023. Initial interviews are expected to take place via MS Teams on Thursday 27th April 2023, and second interviews will take place on Wednesday 3rd May 2023 at the Royal Academy of Music.
