Monday, 16 May 2022, 5.00pm

The BBC is hiring a Lead Project Manager for the Across the UK (ATUK) project which will work with Radio 3 and BBC Concert Orchestra.

The Across the UK project is a major transformation which will distribute content-making and decision-making across the UK. Over the next six years, the BBC will shift its creative and journalistic centre away from London.

As part of this strategic commitment to represent the whole of the UK, Radio 3 will move a significant share of its programming from London to Salford and the BBC Concert Orchestra will move to a new base out of London.

Radio 3 and the BBC Concert Orchestra are looking for a project manager to lead the planning of these moves. Senior editorial experience would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of leading and delivering change projects within an organisation. You should be able to demonstrate experience in leading and managing complex, multifaceted projects or productions, as well as experience of working with a range of stakeholders and guiding them through change. A formal project management qualification is not essential.

Senior editorial experience of radio production and knowledge of classical music and/or working with orchestras would be advantageous.
