Wednesday, 31 May 2023, 12.00pm

Dublin Theatre Festival is seeking an Office Assistant to actively coordinate the daily running of the festival reception and front office during the festival period. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing office spaces, administering communication systems, and providing administrative support. This includes ensuring all stationery and building supplies are monitored and replenished efficiently. The Office Assistant may also work with the Box Office Manager on sales support to the team.

The post is full-time and seasonal, lasting for 15 weeks from 3rd July to 18th October 2022. The typical work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 6 pm. However, during the festival period (28th September to 15th October), the Office Assistant will work 48 hours across six days per week, including evening and weekend work around key dates such as launch (25th July) and during the festival period.

The Office Assistant reports to the Festival Administrator and ultimately to the General Manager of Dublin Theatre Festival. The successful candidate will be on probation for three weeks, and statutory holiday entitlements apply. Requests for leave will be considered, taking into account the busy nature of the festival period. Unused holiday entitlement will be paid at the end of the contract in accordance with current employment legislation.

The salary for the post is €24,960 per annum pro rata. Interested candidates are invited to submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae outlining all relevant experience, a letter of application indicating their interest in the role, and contact details for two professional referees. The closing date for applications is 12 pm on Wednesday, 31st May, and interviews will take place on Tuesday, 6th June.

To apply or make enquiries, interested candidates can email Louise McGrath, Festival Administrator, at recruitment [at] dublintheatrefestival.ie.
