Re-inviting Chamber Music on Valentia artist Sarah Allen flute player with the sensational band Flook, in collaboration with Chamber Music on Valentia’s 2022 string and harpsichord players, we bring to live audiences some of our discoveries from 2020 in marking Carolan’s 350th anniversary. These arrangements reimagine music of the time as it might have been heard in Irish houses. Also programmed is a brand new work ‘Carolan and his friends’ by Michael Finnissy taking inspiration from original tunes by Carolan.
