The Juilliard School seeks applicants for its double bass faculty, teaching in both the College and Pre-College Divisions of the school. Responsibilities include teaching weekly applied lessons and regular studio classes, plus possible chamber music coaching and orchestral repertoire classes. Expectations also include attending annual pre-college and college auditions and jury exams.

Qualifications:
– Artist Faculty with significant reputation as a teacher of double bass, with a demonstrated track record for preparing talented double bass students for a career
– Significant experience as solo and/or ensemble player with major ensembles
– Capacity to recruit, teach, and mentor a diverse student body of the highest quality at both the pre-college and college level
– Knowledge of the current trends in the profession and the ability to articulate a forward-looking vision of a conservatory student’s training
