Guys and Dolls established themselves as a Barbershop quartet from their very first performance together in 2016, winning National Gold at the IABS (Irish Association of Barbershop singing) in October 2016. Currently the group holds four National Gold titles with IABS after their most recent win in October 2022 at the INEC, Killarney, where they also received the highest performance score on record. The group proudly holds an International bronze prize from SABS (Spanish Association of Barbershop) and are looking forward to competing in the Sing! International Quartet Competition in Holland this March 2023.

All four members of Guys and Dolls are graduates of the MTU Cork School of Music, Lorna Moore sings tenor, Serena Standley sings lead, Patrick D’Alton sings baritone and Daniel Buster sings bass. The group perform for a mixture of corporate and commercial events and have participated in numerous charity concerts and performances, and have been featured as performing artists in the Cork International Choral Festival for many years, and are delighted to be featured artists on the Fringe Festival Choral Trail again this year. 2020 posed a challenge for the group, yet they tenaciously persevered with remote rehearsals and recordings throughout the Pandemic, competing in the National Virtual Acapella Competition’ hosted by the Cork International Choral Festival where they secured second place out of a stellar line up of A Cappella performances. Guys and Dolls are thrilled to be performing and competing regularly once again, and are excited for what the future holds for this wonderful group of singing friends!
