4. Allegro vivacissimo - Allegro maestoso assai

Mendelssohn’s third and last symphony, was inspired by a trip to Scotland. His finest work, it took 13 years to complete and was inspired by the vibrancy of Edinburgh, specifically Hollyrood chapel. The ICO excel under Jörg Widmann in this rendition broadcasting tonight on Facebook. Don your kilts and join us for this highland fling!
