Wizkid, born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, began his music career at the age of 11 in Lagos, Nigeria. He gained stardom in his home country with his debut studio album, "Superstar," released in 2011. His global breakthrough track "Ojuelegba" caught the attention of international artists like Drake and Skepta.
In 2017, Wizkid signed a deal with RCA and Sony International, releasing his third LP, "Sounds From the Other Side." He then refocused his energy on his Starboy imprint in Africa, releasing his fourth full-length project, "Made in Lagos," in 2020. The album is the highest-charting Nigerian album on the Billboard 200 of all time and the first and only African album to be RIAA certified Gold in the US.
