Rory recently made his international operatic debut singing the role of Young Kelvin in the Asian premier of Solaris by Dai Fugikura (Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, Japan). Other recent roles include Dr. Falke Die Fledermaus (Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, Germany), Schaunard La bohème (Lyric Opera Productions & Boyle Arts Festival), Le Podestat Le Docteur Miracle (Wexford Festival Opera/The Merrion Hotel), Silvio Pagliacci (Cork Opera House), Mayor of Youghal Vagabones (Opera Collective Ireland – World Premier, National Tour), Taddeo L’italiana in Algeri (Blackwater Valley Opera Festival, formerly Lismore Opera Festival) and Eumete The Return of Ulysses (Opera Collective Ireland).

Past opera engagements have included Eumete The Return of Ulysses, under the baton of Christian Curnyn and the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Junius The Rape of Lucretia (Opera Collective Ireland), Smirnov The Bear and MagnusHerculanum, Gaby and various Bernstein a la Carte (Wexford Festival Opera), Belcore L’Elisir d’Amore (Blackwater Valley Opera Festival), Schaunard La bohème, St. Brioche The Merry Widow (Cork Operatic Society), Schaunard La bohème, Count Gil Susanna’s Secret (Opera Theatre Company), Schaunard La bohème, Baron Duphol La traviata (Lyric Opera Productions), Gabriel ConroyJames Joyce’s The Dead (Performance Corporation – World Premier), Second Soldier and Namaan Salomé (Northern Ireland Opera).
