Auditions will be held in late March/early April 2020 (exact dates tbc) at BBC Hoddinott Hall, Cardiff. Auditions will be held in two rounds and both rounds will take place within the candidate’s scheduled time slot.

For Round 1 (screened), candidates will be required to prepare and play the following:

• First movement of a Mozart Concerto (no cadenza)
• First movement of a 19th or 20th Century Concerto (no cadenza)

Round 2 (unscreened) is at the discretion of the panel. Should a candidate be required for Round 2, they will be required to prepare and play the following:

• Prepared orchestral excerpts
• Sight reading, given on the day
