David Keenan
To celebrate the release of his debut album A Beginner’s Guide To Bravery, Dundalk native David Keenan has announced a short run of free Irish in-store appearances where he will be performing songs from the record and meeting fans.
Keenan’s first record goes on sale January 10 and comes highly anticipated. Summing his style up, Hot Press’ Pat Carty wrote of the singer-songwriter: “Not just another young lad with an acoustic guitar, Keenan is the sound of Tim Buckley and Brendan Behan arguing over a few jars, while Kavanagh deals Dylan a suspicious hand of cards, and Anthony Cronin and Jack Kerouac furiously try to scribble it all down.”
To mark the new release, fans of all ages are invited to come and meet Keenan at the following stores:
Friday, January 10 – Tower Records, Dawson Street, Dublin (5.30pm)
Tuesday, January 14 – OMG @ Zhivago, Shop Street, Galway (1pm)
Wednesday, January 15 – Steamboat, Unit 4, Steamboat Quay, Limerick (4.30pm)
Thursday, January 16 – Classified Records, McMahon Buildings, The Demesne, Dundalk (5pm)
Entry for all the above events is free but on a first come, first served basis.
