Iyad Sughayer, piano
On Tuesday 7 March 2023 at 1:00PM, Wigmore Hall will host a concert featuring the Jordanian-Palestinian pianist Iyad Sughayer. The concert is promoted by the Young Classical Artists Trust and will showcase works by Khachaturian, Mozart, R Schumann, and Sibelius.
The concert programme has been changed slightly and will now include the following pieces: Poem by Aram Il'yich Khachaturian, Piano Sonata in G K283 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Impromptu Op. 24 No. 1, Romance in A Op. 24 No. 2, Caprice Op. 24 No. 3, Romance in D minor Op. 24 No. 4, and Valse Op. 24 No. 5 by Jean Sibelius, and Faschingsschwank aus Wien Op. 26 by Robert Schumann.
The concert is estimated to last approximately one hour without an interval. Ticket prices are £16 for adults and £14 for concessions. Discounts on ticket prices are available to those who have a Wigmore Hall account, with the discounted price being accessible through logging into the account. The booking fee for the ticket is £4 for the entire booking, and not per ticket.
Iyad Sughayer has received various awards and recognitions, and in 2022, he co-founded and launched the Mashrek Academy of Music in Amman. In addition, his second recording with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales conducted by Andrew Litton was released by BIS Records.
