Wigmore Hall is delighted to announce the upcoming concert featuring Roderick Williams, a baritone, and Iain Burnside, a pianist. The concert, entitled "Tell me the Truth about Love," is scheduled for Tuesday, March 7th, 2023, at 7:30 pm.

The concert will explore the theme of love through the works of various composers, with Britten's Auden setting providing the inspiration. The concert programme includes works by Robert Schumann, Roger Quilter, Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn, Josephine Lang, Caroline Shaw, Sally Beamish, Cheryl Frances-Hoad, Gerald Finzi, and Benjamin Britten.

The first half of the concert will feature Robert Schumann's Dichterliebe Op. 48, followed by an interval. The second half will begin with Roger Quilter's 7 Elizabethan Lyrics Op. 12, followed by works from Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn, Josephine Lang, Caroline Shaw, Sally Beamish, Cheryl Frances-Hoad, Gerald Finzi, and Benjamin Britten.

The concert is expected to last approximately two hours, including the interval. Ticket prices start from £16 and go up to £40, with discounts available to those who log in to their Wigmore Hall account. A booking fee of £4 applies to all ticket bookings.
