Tips & Techniques to Play Jazz, Funk and Swing Grooves – With Michael Janisch, Tim Armacost & Marc Ayza
A decorated band leader and music producer, bass player Michael Janisch is a major figure on the contemporary UK jazz scene.

In this workshop, Michael , alongside band mates Tim Armacost (saxophones) and Marc Ayza (drums) will provide valuable tips, techniques and knowledge directly that will be useful to musicians at every level.

If you’re a musician and are interested in learning about jazz improvision, about playing jazz, funk and swing grooves, why not spend some time with three professionals who will give you a window into their world, and some valuable insights into how they make music – and you can too.

Michael, Tim and Marc have done many Master Classes around the world, and their presentations are practical, constructive, and designed to help budding players of all ages, in their musical journey.

The workshop will take place at Mermaid Arts Centre, and is presented in collaboration with Music Generation Wicklow.
