Singer and multi-instrumentalist Sam Amidon is set to embark on an Irish tour in May 2023. The tour includes four concerts in various locations including Dublin, Clonakilty, Galway and Belfast.

Amidon has released seven solo albums on Bedroom Community and Nonesuch Records, earning critical acclaim for his reinterpretations of traditional American ballads, hymns, and work songs. The most recent release in his discography is the eponymous album "Sam Amidon" from 2020. The New York Times has previously commented on how Amidon "transforms all of the songs, changing their colours and loading them with trapdoors."

Throughout his career, Amidon has collaborated or performed with a range of musicians, such as Jacob Collier, Emmylou Harris, Glen Hansard, Tune-Yards, John Prine, Jason Moran, and Beth Orton, Amidon's wife. He has also supported acts like Bon Iver, Sharon Van Etten, The National, and Wilco.

May 11th: DeBarras Folk Club, Clonakilty, West Cork
May 12th: An Taibhdhearc, Galway (presented by The Black Gate; supported by North American old-time duo Tatiana Hargreaves and Allison De Groot, and Colin Tierney)
May 13th: The Duncairn, Belfast (supported by David C Clements)
