Brown Bag Films is currently looking to recruit an Audio Assistant to join the Post-production team. The candidate will be joining a dynamic team working on the exciting animation shows in production across our studios.

We are looking for someone who is self-reliant and organised. They will be able to multi-task and communicate clearly and precisely with Post Production Supervisors and Production co-ordinators. They will enjoy problem solving and appreciate the strength of being part of a supportive team. This role will require the candidate to work outside normal business hours when necessary to meet business requirements

Key Responsibilities:
• Tracking, download and distribution of VO cast records/songs from overseas studios.
• Maintain tracking spreadsheets to represent up-to-date audio status of all deliveries - including but not limited to: radio-plays, pick-ups, scratch, stems, songs, pro tools sessions etc.
• Editing, updating and distributing radio-plays for animatic edits.
• Maintain audio folders on servers – VO/Songs/Stems/PT Sessions etc.
• Provide & edit walla/alt dialog takes/sfx for editors/director/producers.
• Making sure all the cast record lines are there according to the latest scripts.
• Contacting VO recording studio to request missing lines etc.
• Download, QC and distribute audio stems/Pro Tools sessions from external audio studios.
QC and exporting audio stem mixes from Pro Tools sessions.
QC and formatting audio stems for final broadcast delivery.
• Checking quality of files – listening for glitches/tight or abrupt edits & fades etc.
• Preparing, formatting and delivering music cue sheets.
• Preparing, formatting and delivering broadcast scripts.
• Providing sound effects and back up during final mixes.
• Internal cast VO recordings and scratch records for animatic edits.
• Occasional sound editing to picture and internal pitch mixes.
• Assist QC dept. with video file QC and final video deliveries to broadcasters.

Key Requirements:
• Good working knowledge of sound editing techniques for animation or live-action.
• Must be very comfortable with Avid Pro Tools software and associated plugins running on Mac OS.
• Must have a good ‘ear’ with respect to sound file checking.
• Must be able to work using own initiative.
• Must be organised, efficient and focused with a strong attention to detail.
• Must possess the ability to identify audio related problems early, communicate them to the Post team and assist in resolving them.
• Must have a good knowledge of Post Production processes.
• Broadcast technology knowledge preferable.
