Do you have experience producing large-scale festivals or events that deliver exceptional visitor experiences for a broad range of audiences? Do you thrive working to challenging deadlines whilst upholding high standards? Are you an effective team player with the ability to develop positive working relationships internally and externally?

If so, you could join our Public Engagement Team in this new exciting role producing the Great Exhibition Road Festival. This new Festival is our flagship societal engagement event which launched in 2019, but supersedes the longer-running Imperial Festival. It is a three-day celebration of the arts and sciences in South Kensington attracting around 60,000 visitors. Over 20 partners, including the V&A, Royal Albert Hall and the Science Museum come together to create a free programme of unique and creative workshops, talks, exhibitions and performances, all in the spirit of the Great Exhibition of 1851. The next Great Exhibition Road Festival will be on 3-5 July 2020.

This role will work with many Imperial Teams, Festival partners and a range of external contractors in order to further develop our Festival for 2020 and beyond. We are looking for an effective project manager and festival producer with a sophisticated and holistic understanding of the key elements that need to come together to make a Festival a success.

The role will join the Academic Partnerships Division at an exciting time as we further strengthen and embed societal engagement across the College. Societal engagement is a core part of Imperial’s mission and is reflected in our 2015-20 Strategy, which commits the College ‘to sharing the wonder of what we do’ with schools, patients, local communities and the wider public through two-way engagement and collaboration.
