Yuja Wang has announced a six-concert Series in collaboration with David Hockney at London’s Lightroom

From 28-30 September, both at 7pm and 9pm, Yuja Wang, the internationally recognised classical pianist, will perform six concerts at London’s Lightroom. These concerts will feature a range of pieces that are inspired by her interpretation of David Hockney’s artworks.

Located in King’s Cross, N1C 4DY, Lightroom is known for hosting artist-led immersive experiences. Their debut show titled, "David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away)", has welcomed over 230,000 visitors since its launch in February.

The concert series offers attendees a distinctive experience to witness Yuja Wang's performance complemented by David Hockney’s artworks in Lightroom’s immersive showspace. Additionally, live camera coverage on Lightroom's walls will give a distinct viewpoint of her performance.

Lightroom is set to unveil its subsequent major show soon. This series with Yuja Wang sets the precedent for upcoming special events that will merge various artistic genres with Lightroom displays.
