Diatribe Records proudly presents Wild is the Wind, a new portrait record by composer Ian Wilson in digital audio and limited edition 6-panel CD digipak.

Exploring his innovative recent work for winds, the record will be the composer’s third Diatribe release following Double Trio (2009) and Stations (2014), the latter described as “a major addition to the piano repertoire of the twenty-first century" (MusicWeb International).
The diverse selection of work is performed by world-leading instrumentalists from across Europe, featuring label débuts for bass clarinettist Gareth Davis, saxophonist Ties Mellema, flautist Fiona Kelly, and the Hard Rain SoloistEnsemble, as well as notable appearances from roster artists Cathal Roche and the Yurodny Ensemble.

The record launches as part of the Contemporary Music Centre’s salon series with streamed performances by Cathal Roche and Ties Mellema.
