Residentie Orkest The Hague has an immediate vacancy for 1ST OBOE (65%).

As 1st oboist, you will have a joint responsibility for the tonal colour of the woodwind section and you’ll be at ease motivating and inspiring your colleagues. In your role as a principal, you’ll lead your section and make a contribution to orchestral management, which will include coaching and support, as well as keeping an eye out for the members of your section. You must have the flexibility to undertake educational projects and stage presentations in smaller settings.

The auditions for this position will be held on Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 March 2019. Compulsory works: 

– Mozart: from the Oboe Concerto (KV314), 1st movement with cadenza and 2nd movement
– Strauss: from the Oboe Concerto, 1st movement and 2nd movement with cadenza
– orchestral parts yet to be determined
