Adaptation

Friday, 28 February 2020, 8.00pm

‘Adaptation’ is a wonderfully imaginative, inventive and fun musical romp through the centuries. Written by one of Ireland’s leading composers, Ian Wilson, for the talents of pianist Izumi Kimura and guitarist Joe O’Callaghan, ‘Adaptation’ charts the imaginary musical journey through time and space of a well-known trad tune, visiting many of the styles and eras that might have influenced its final character.

A heady mix of trad, classical, and jazz music, this hour-long performance promises to be as memorable as it will be enjoyable.
‘Adaptation’ is part of Clare County Council’s ‘Gaining Ground’ public art programme.

Performances are at 8pm on Thursday 27th February in Teach Ceoil, Kilrush and on Friday 28th February in Miltown Malbay Community Centre. Admission is free.
