Dinnseanchas @ Cúirt International Festival of Literature 2025
As part of the 2025 Cúirt International Festival of Literature, a panel event titled Dinnseanchas will take place on Sunday 13 April at 2 pm in An Taibhdhearc, Galway. The event will focus on the theme of dinnseanchas – the lore of place – in contemporary Irish-language literature.
Now in its fourth year, the event is a collaboration between the Irish-language publisher Cló Iar-Chonnacht and Cúirt. Writers Eithne Ní Ghallchobhair and Michelle Nic Pháidín, both from Tír Chonaill, will take part in the panel. They will discuss the role of place in their writing and read from their work. The event will be chaired by Micheál Ó Conghaile, founder of Cló Iar-Chonnacht.
Tickets are €12 or €10 concession and are available from the Cúirt website. The event will be conducted in Irish.
