The Songs of Joni Mitchell will take place in three Irish venues this October. Performances are scheduled for the Town Hall Theatre, Galway on 28 October, Dolan’s Warehouse, Limerick on 29 October, and the 3Olympia Theatre, Dublin on 30 October.

The series features artists Jesca Hoop, Kate Stables (This Is The Kit), and Lail Arad, who will perform interpretations of their favourite songs by Joni Mitchell. The Dublin performance will include special guest appearances by Lisa Hannigan and Loah. Tickets go on sale on Friday 11 April at 9am via www.ticketmaster.ie.

Originally conceived and curated by Lail Arad to mark Mitchell’s 80th birthday, the project premiered at The Roundhouse in London in April 2024 and was hosted by Cerys Matthews. The event included performances by Emeli Sandé, Eska, Olivia Chaney, Sam Amidon and Vashti Bunyan, among others. The Songs of Joni Mitchell has since toured with various line-ups and returns this autumn following a run of sold-out performances.

Jesca Hoop, who also recently presented the BBC Radio documentary series Legend: The Joni Mitchell Story, developed the new series in collaboration with Arad. Their partnership will also launch a wider concert project titled Songs Of, which will celebrate the work of notable songwriters through performances by artists they have influenced.

The upcoming Irish concerts will also feature pianist Richard Sears.
