University of the Arts London is hiring a Music Production Support Technician.

The role will provide technical support for the Sound Arts department. Working within the college technical team and alongside academics, the role will be instrumental in developing and improving students’ ability to successfully understand and challenge the world around us.

This is a unique role designed to support technical resources aligned to the School of Screen. Working as part of the Sound Arts technical team, this role will help support courses to develop and improve upon the sound studio-based skills of students. The role will include the acquisition and maintenance of technical resources, issuing equipment, and assisting students in the use of highly specialist technical equipment, studios, and workflows.

The team specialises in supporting students and staff in the subject area of sound arts and its associated disciplines: location sound capture, studio-based recording and mixing, foley, live installation, interactive sound and mixed reality applications of sound.

You will be an an enthusiastic and highly motivated specialist with a background in one or more of the following disciplines: sound arts, sound design, location recording, live sound installation, audio engineering, acoustics, and interactive sound.

You will have experience working in the sound industry or in higher education, preferably within a sound department or post-production facility.
