Administrative Apprentice, Jazz Studies
The Juilliard School in New York is currently accepting applications for the role of Administrative Apprentice in Jazz Studies. This position is part of the Professional Apprentice Program, aimed at providing valuable learning and teaching opportunities for apprentices throughout their tenure at the School. The program seeks to recruit a talented cohort of individuals who will engage in an immersive, hands-on experience, assuming various roles encompassing daily administrative tasks and production operations. Apprentices will also have the chance to participate in workshops, discussions, and other developmental opportunities that foster their growth and enhance their skills for future success in the workplace and their chosen career paths.
As a full-time position, the Administrative Apprentice will closely collaborate with members of the Jazz Studies department, actively contributing to the day-to-day operations of the Juilliard Jazz Orchestra, Juilliard Jazz Small Ensembles, and classes. The apprentice will gain exposure to crucial aspects of departmental operations and management, including the ensemble music library, equipment, personnel, scheduling, entrance auditions, Showcase juries, and concert production.
The salary for this position ranges from $16.00 to $17.75 per hour.
