Thursday, 4 May 2023, 7.30pm

The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and National Youth Choir of Scotland are set to perform a live concert of John Williams’ iconic scores from Star Wars on May the Fourth 2023, at 7:30pm at Glasgow City Halls. The concert will showcase popular themes from the entire Star Wars saga, from Episode IV: A New Hope (1977) to music from the latest Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (2019).

Williams’ Oscar-winning compositions have enchanted audiences for almost five decades, and the live concert promises to be the definitive performance, featuring the forces of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and over 60 singers from the National Youth Choir of Scotland. The concert will feature music from white-knuckle rides in the Millennium Falcon to heart-wrenching love themes.

Tickets for the concert start from £18, with half-price tickets available for children under 16. Star Wars fans are encouraged to don their Jedi robes and bring along a Wookie to join in on the celebration.
