Drogheda Classical Music - Chamber Choir Ireland Tchaikovsky's Liturgy St John Chrysostum

Friday, 30 September 2022, 7.30pm

Although best known for his Romantic symphonies and ballets, Tchaikovsky’s breath-taking Liturgy of St John Chrysostum, a setting of fifteen pieces from the Russian Orthodox Liturgy written for unaccompanied choir, is full of rich, intense and sonorous harmonies. Led by Paul Hillier, Chamber Choir Ireland performs this sublime large-scale work — so rarely heard in its entirety.

CHAMBER CHOIR IRELAND
