The Irish Composers' Collective Presents: ICC Salon

The Irish Composers' Collective are showcasing a wealth of new music from Ireland's brightest emerging composers as part of their festival, ICC Salon, which takes place from 18th-20th of November 2022 in the vibrant and offbeat venue Unit 44, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7.

25 composers will premiere 30 new pieces produced through innovative collaborations with visual and dance artists as well as with Ireland's finest musicians and ensembles. These novel creations will feature throughout the festival with performances from the Kirkos Ensemble, ConTempo Quartet, Ficino Ensemble and Paul Roe. Dance artist Laura Sarah Dowdall will engage the audience through an immersive performance of six original works and there will be a film screening of visual artists’ animations with accompanying ICC composed soundtracks.

The festival is funded by the Arts Council of Ireland.

Friday 18th

1pm - ConTempo Quartet
Featuring works by Michael Riordan, Yue Song, Luke Smyth, Stephen Kavanagh and Oisín Dilger.

7pm - Kirkos Ensemble
Featuring works by Andy Ingamells, Mary Barnecutt, Thomas Dunne, Arthur Greene, Kevin Free and Cormac Fitzpatrick.

Saturday 19th

7pm - Paul Roe (clarinet) and Laura Sarah Dowdall (dance artist)
Featuring works by Kevin Free, Luke Smyth, Oisín Dilger, Kellie O’Neill Donnchadh MacAodha, and Santiago Kodela.

Sunday 20th

5pm - Ficino Ensemble
Featuring works by Santiago Kodela, Darragh Kelly, Galen MacCaba, William Chester, Jamie Evans and Alan Perrin

8pm - Salon Flicks
6 films by artists AlanJames Burns, Claudikat, Cillian Green, Cian Redmond and Lisa McDonald will be screened featuring soundtracks composed by Maeve Kelly, Abigail Smith, Mary Barnecutt, Donnchadh Mac Aodha, Rachel Nic Thomás and Lark McIvor.
