The Orchard has an immediate opening for a Senior Director, Urban Radio Promotion, Artist Services.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating and maximizing exposure for The Orchard’s artists through national radio airplay. This includes soliciting and securing airplay and developing and coordinating radio strategy and promotions with both national and local radio as well as other media/retail outlets. This position will work very closely with the VP, Artist Services to set team strategy specific to their coverage area.

– Oversee all of The Orchard’s urban radio promotion airplay efforts
– Liaise with Orchard-distributed labels artists and artist management per label requests
– Be the main point of contact to our label’s promotion staff to strategize radio campaigns and initiatives
– Partner with label presidents/owners to maximize radio initiatives through strategy and effective communication
– Promote assigned projects directly to stations, consultants, and programmers to obtain radio airplay at Urban Mainstream and Urban – AC formats
– Oversee relationships with Independent Promotion consultants
– Work closely with Orchard Label Management team to identify potential artist opportunities
– Work with Orchard marketing, digital, and sales departments to maximize radio initiatives
– Analyze the effectiveness of radio campaign efforts and work with VP of Artist Services to develop best/better practices to achieve department/company goals
– Analyze airplay, consumption and audience data and report progress regularly
– Create presentations, one-sheets, and e-blasts for priority artists and records

– Travel and cover radio shows and promotional events when artists tour particular markets

Qualifications
– Minimum 7-10 years of radio promotion management experience
– Strong relationships with radio programmers nationally
– Proven track record of converting airplay into sales
– Passionate music fan with broad knowledge of music landscape
– Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
– Successful candidate will possess a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment while juggling multiple tasks and priorities
