I Create Online

The Irish Chamber Orchestra is back with another dynamic collaborative mini-series. Partnerships, diversity, and one-offs are at the heart of the Irish Chamber Orchestra’s successful I Create Online series which took social media by storm during lockdown. A play on Irish Chamber Orchestra (ICO), this second series of I Create Online showcases more creative disciplines inspired by music including Mime; Illustration and Print; Marine Film Production with each expression accompanied by members of the Irish Chamber Orchestra. These three shorts will stimulate the senses, generating more unforgettable ICO experiences. These imaginative episodes will broadcast monthly online from February to April.

Episode 1 - Still, Hope

STILL, HOPE is a three-way partnership with Contemporary Mime Artist Simon Thompson, Film Editor Dominik Kosicki and the ICO. The inspiration comes from an emotive return to Limerick with feelings of longing, loss but there is always hope. The ICO soundscape for this imaginative piece is a re-working by Jörg Widmann of the Andante from Mendelssohn’s prodigious Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, only published in 1987.
